so, this is me.
my name is annika. i‘m a 23 year old girl from bavaria studying communication design in mannheim.
i always had an addiction to design and art. this is the reason why i did my final exams in art in 2017. after that, i applied the first time for the course of studies in communication design in augsburg, 2018. this was also the first time i failed the entrance exam for this course, but i had a plan b for the time during the next application phase. i really burned for this course and my passion for it was huge, that was why i improved my map designs while i studied another creative course, architecture for four semesters, till i got accepted anywhere. the time was very intense, but i really wanted to study exactly this course of studies. so i applied every single semester in different cities, till i finally got accepted in mannheim in 2020. i felt so much relief, it this was one of the best moments in my life, because i felt the passion to design every single day, and so i do now.
relating to my life outside the studies, i am very into being in nature. i grew up near the alps, why i am a lot of time in the mountains. during our cold winters i work as a skiing instructor and in summer we go on a lot of hikes through the bavarian alps. i do a lot of music with my dad, singing and playing the guitar together. every morning after waking up i am doing a yoga session, which let me feel free and alive for the day! the fewer times i have quite nothing to do, i spend my time with doing handcrafts – like building a bed construction for a car to go on vacations or sew some new bags or clothes.
last but not least – me, myself and i.
i am a very positive, creative, open-minded, enthusiastic, talkative, honest, curious and tolerant woman. if i have something in mind, i do everything to realize it. i love life to the fullest and really love to travel to see the world, experience new cultures and get to known to other people. most of the time i try my best to think and act positive. i am also a very sociable person – love to have friends and other people around me, talk about everything and learn from each other. i think that is because i have a big family including two brothers (twins) and so i am always around a lot of people – do not want to miss this, ever.
